Silver has been used since ancient times to prevent spoilage of water. This quality cartridge is made with silver granular activated carbon (GAC). The silver prevents bacterial growth in the activated carbon to ensure the carbon stays effective for physical particle removal, air-borne herbicides, pesticides, taste and odours.
